One ranked attempt per form

Why you cannot re-sit a form for ranking, and what to do instead.

You get one ranked attempt on each mock form. Once you have submitted it, that form can only be sat again in practice mode.

WhyLink to the section: Why

A ranked score is a claim about your ability. Re-sitting a form you have already seen does not measure ability — it measures memory of that form, and the second score is always higher for a reason that has nothing to do with getting better at the SAT.

If re-sitting were allowed, the leaderboard would rank patience rather than preparation, and your own score history would stop being usable as evidence of progress.

What you can do insteadLink to the section: What you can do instead

  • Sit a different form ranked.
  • Re-sit the same form in practice mode, as many times as you like.
  • Use drills to work the specific skills the attempt exposed.
