Refund policy

The short version

Full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have used less than 20% of the track. Request it yourself from Billing in your dashboard.

Passes are not on sale while Preptics is in beta — everything is free — so today this policy applies to the Founder’s Pass, below.

The Founder’s Pass

The Founder’s Pass is a voluntary payment that unlocks nothing, so there is nothing to measure. Ask within 14 days of paying and we refund the whole amount, no reason needed. Email support@preptics.com from the address on your account. A refund withdraws your Early Supporter Certificate; if you back Preptics again later, you get the same number back.

Payment is taken by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, through the softexforge.io store — that is the name on your checkout page and receipt, and your bank statement shows a LEMSQZY* charge. Refunds go back to the card or PayPal account you paid with.

How "used" is measured

Questions are delivered to you one at a time and recorded, so we can measure consumption exactly rather than guessing. Usage is the number of distinct paid questions served to you, divided by the total number of paid questions the track unlocks.

This cuts both ways deliberately. You cannot be refused for "using it too much" when you opened two questions, and we are not relying on your word when someone has worked through the entire vault.

Beyond the automatic window

Ask anyway. If the material was not what we described, if the quality was poor, or if something went wrong on our side, we would rather refund you than keep money from someone who feels misled. Submit the request from your dashboard and a person will read it.

What happens after a refund

• Access to the paid track ends.
• Your account, free exams, score history and analytics remain.
• The refund returns to your original payment method via our payment provider.

Statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. Because access is granted immediately, you consent at checkout to the service starting straight away — that consent can reduce the statutory withdrawal right for the portion already supplied, which is exactly what the 20% consumption test is measuring. Nothing in this policy removes rights you have by law.

Abuse

Repeatedly buying, consuming and refunding is refund abuse, and we may decline future purchases from an account doing it. This is rare and we will always explain before acting.
