- Is everything really free during the beta?
- Yes. While Preptics is in beta every account gets every mock, lesson and drill, with no card and no trial clock. Nothing is on sale except the Founder's Pass, which is optional and unlocks nothing extra. When the beta ends the passes go on sale at the launch prices on the pricing page; we will email you before that happens, and your scores, plan and history stay yours either way.
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. There is no time-boxed trial that needs a card to unlock. During the beta everything is free; after it, two full adaptive mocks with every explanation stay free for good. You only reach for a card if you decide to buy a pass after launch.
- What is the Founder's Pass?
- A voluntary way to back Preptics while it is free. You pay what you want — from $1, with $5 suggested — and receive a numbered Early Supporter Certificate. It does not unlock anything, because during the beta everything already is, and not buying it changes nothing. It is a single payment that never renews, and we refund it in full within 14 days if you ask.
- Do the passes auto-renew?
- No. The passes are not on sale during the beta; when they are, both the 3-month and the 12-month pass will be single payments, and neither will charge you again. If your test date moves you can add 30 days for $4.99, and that time is added to what you already have rather than replacing it. We are aware that most of the industry does the opposite. You sit the SAT once or twice and then you are done with us — billing you out of inertia after that would be taking money for nothing.
- Can my parent buy it for me?
- During the beta there is nothing to buy. Once passes go on sale, whoever pays can enter your email address at checkout and the access lands on your account, with the receipt going to the person who paid.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes. The Founder's Pass is refunded in full within 14 days of paying — just ask. Once passes are on sale, a pass is refunded in full within 14 days if you have used less than 20% of the material; because questions are delivered one at a time and recorded, we can measure that exactly. Beyond that, ask us — we read every request.
- Do you price differently by country?
- Not yet, and we are aware these prices do not mean the same thing everywhere. A large share of SAT candidates sit it outside the US, and regional pricing is on the roadmap. If cost is the blocker for you, tell us — that feedback is what moves it up the list.
