Cookie policy

We use few cookies and no advertising cookies. Here is every one, and what it does.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the service to work and cannot be turned off.

• Authentication — keeps you signed in. Set by our authentication provider, expires with your session.
• Device identifier (pdid) — a random value, readable only by our server, and hashed before it is stored. It lets us show you your own device list, offer "sign out everywhere else", and detect account sharing. It contains nothing about you and is not used for tracking or advertising. Expires after one year.
• Bot protection — set by Cloudflare Turnstile on sign-in and sign-up to tell humans from automated scripts. Turnstile is privacy-preserving and does not profile you across sites.

Preferences

• Sidebar layout (sidebar_state) — remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar in the app, so it stays how you left it. It holds the word "true" or "false" and nothing else. Expires after seven days.

Stored in your browser, not as cookies

A few things are kept in your browser’s own storage instead. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

• Your theme — light, dark or matching your device.
• The notes and scratchpad in the study tools menu — kept on this device only, so a page reload does not lose them. They do not follow you to another device. (The scratchpad and notes inside a timed exam are different: those are saved with your answers so a dropped connection cannot destroy your working — see the privacy policy.)

Analytics

We set no analytics cookies. The public pages — not your dashboard, settings or exams — count visits with Umami, which sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, so there is nothing here to accept or refuse. Third-party services lists exactly what it receives.

If we ever add analytics that use cookies or identify you, we will ask for consent first, list them here, and make refusing them as easy as accepting.

Advertising

None. We do not run ads and we do not share data with ad networks.

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies in your browser at any time. Clearing the device cookie will sign you out and make your browser look like a new device — which is harmless, though it may trigger a "new device" notice next time you sign in.
