Work at Preptics
Preptics is an education technology company building one platform for standardised test preparation. The Digital SAT® is its first track, and more exams and phone and tablet apps are planned. It is made by a very small team, and this page lists every role we are hiring for, with its pay and its hours stated before you apply.

What we are buildingLink to the section: What we are building
Why the work matters, and how far along it is.
Most preparation for a standardised test is a bank of questions and a number at the end. The number says how the sitting went. It does not say what to do tomorrow because of it. Preptics does the part in between. It keeps a record of every answer, reports where the marks were lost, and rebuilds the study plan from that after every mock, every finished lesson and every set of drills.
Where this is going: every standardised test a student sits, as a track in one place, on the web, on a phone and on a tablet, with each new piece of learning technology built once and shared by all of them. We think that is what test preparation becomes, and we intend to be the company that builds it.
We are not there yet. Today Preptics is one track, on the web, made by a very small team. Whoever joins now joins at the first track. Where Preptics is going lists what is built and what is planned, each marked as what it is.
What working here is likeLink to the section: What working here is like
Said plainly, because you would find out in the first week anyway.
Two people, so far
You work with both of us directly. There is nobody between you and the person who decides.
The teamRemote, and counted by what is finished
There is no office in any country. Work is agreed in writing, at the times that suit you, and judged by what was done.
The product's rules are the job's rules
Original questions, never real SAT material. No invented numbers and no hype. What we say in public about the product has to be checkable.
What we hold ourselves toEarly and small
Preptics launched in September 2026 and is free while it is in beta. The pay is modest, and it is printed on every role before you apply.
How we hireLink to the section: How we hire
- Every role states its pay and its hours. If a number is missing, that is a mistake on our side: tell us.
- You apply on the role's own page. No account, and no CV unless the role asks for one.
- A person reads every application. We email you a confirmation when yours arrives, and each role's page lists its own steps and how long each one takes.
What we do with your applicationLink to the section: What we do with your application
This notice was last changed on 13 October 2026.
What we keep
What you type into the form, the time you sent it, and the network your application came from: the first part of your internet address, never the whole of it, kept so that one network cannot flood the form. Nothing else is collected, and applying does not create an account.
What we use it for
Deciding who to hire for the role you applied to, and writing back to you about it. The first email is automatic: one message to the address you gave, confirming that your application arrived. Everything after it is written by a person. You are not added to a mailing list, and your application is not shown to anyone outside Preptics.
Who can read it
The people hiring at Preptics. The reviewers who check our questions cannot. It is stored with the company that hosts our database, and two emails go through our email provider: the confirmation to you, and a short note to our own inbox that an application arrived. Both companies are named on third-party services.
How long we keep it
We delete an application 180 days after our last decision on it, or 180 days after it arrived if we never made one. The record that a confirmation was emailed to you is deleted with it, and after 180 days at the latest. If we hire you, your application stays with the record of your work with us.
Your choices
Ask for a copy of your application, a correction to it, or its deletion at any time, and withdraw it the same way: write to support@preptics.com from the address you applied with.
Who is responsible
Preptics is operated by Preptics LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA.
