Extended time and accessibility settings

How to switch on 50% or 100% extra time, and how it affects ranking.

Extended time is a setting, not an application. You do not have to send us paperwork.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Find the Accessibility section.
  3. Choose standard, 1.5x, or 2x.
  4. Save. It applies to your next exam, not to one already in progress.
The Accessibility section of Settings: extended time options for standard time, 1.5 times and 2 times, with a note that extended-time attempts are ranked in their own pool.

How it affects rankingLink to the section: How it affects ranking

Attempts sat with extended time are ranked in their own pool, separate from standard attempts. Comparing a 1.5x sitting against a standard one would be unfair in both directions, and merging them would make the whole board mean less.

You are not excluded from ranking, and your percentile is real — it is just measured against people sitting under the same conditions.

Reduced motion is respected from your operating system setting without you having to do anything. The exam runner is fully keyboard operable and works with a screen reader.
