Reporting your real SAT score

Once you have sat the real thing, you can tell us what you scored. It takes ten seconds and it is the most useful thing you can give us.

1. Open Analytics.
2. Find the "How close were we?" panel beside the attempt you want to compare.
3. Enter your official total.

We compare it against the band we projected, and aggregate the result across everyone who reports: how often our range contained the real score, and the mean error when it did not. That figure is published on the same screen.

Almost nothing in this category does it, for an obvious reason — it is the one measurement that can prove a scoring claim wrong.

It is here because a claim of honesty that cannot be checked is just a nicer kind of marketing, and because it is the only mechanism by which the bands could ever be narrowed on evidence rather than on confidence.
