    Select text in a passage or a stem and it marks. Stored as character offsets against your attempt, so a refresh forty minutes into a Reading module does not destroy your reading.

    Crosses out a choice you have ruled out, and clicking it again puts it back. It belongs to the question, so it lives in the question's header rather than the toolbar.

  • Scratchpad

    Draw with a mouse, a finger or a stylus. Strokes are normalised to a 0–999 grid so working comes back in proportion on a different screen.

Where the line is, and who draws it

No hints, no explanations and no AI during a ranked sitting

Not a setting, and not something that could be turned on by a flag. The honour code asks for no outside help during a ranked attempt, and the exam route deliberately sits outside the dashboard shell that mounts the study dock — so the runner has no way to render explain-a-selection even by accident. The same structural reason keeps the jump-anywhere command palette out of a timed module.

What the tools record, and what they do not

Counts, not content. Which option index was crossed out, how many characters were highlighted — batched in memory and flushed at a module boundary, so a drag costs zero requests. The highlighted text itself is never sent anywhere. Scratchpad strokes carry no telemetry at all: a stroke is a movement path, and mouse paths are on the list of things this product does not collect.

Extended time, without paperwork

Available in Settings, no documentation required. A student who gets extra time on test day should be practising with extra time, and asking a sixteen-year-old to prove it to a practice app would be both pointless and insulting.
